Fun with Family Flash cards

As Alita, Loki & Michael rapidly approach their 2nd birthday I am repeatedly blown away by the number of new words that they come out with every day. I’ve been intending to create some flash cards to encourage this learning process for a while now and today I finally got around to making some.

I chose to make flash cards of our family because Alita Loki & Michael are  quite confident with saying most of the names already. They have been saying Mummy & Daddy for a long time now. Loki & Alita can both say Mikey. Loki & Mikey have decided to call Alita “Ta Ta” & they all call my Mum “Ma Ga”.

Alita was very pleased with the picture that I chose of her, she pointed at it & said “Ta Ta”

Loki was very excited to see a photo of Daddy, he wasn’t too keen on sharing it with his brother or sister though.

Mikey managed to say Mummy & Daddy with a mouth full of food…….we shall have to work on table manners later 🙂

The only name that no one managed to say tonight was “Lucy” the newest member of our family.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal.
I must say you have done a very good job with this.
In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me
on Opera. Superb Blog!

Hey there! I’ve been reading your website for a long time now
and finally got the courage to go ahead and give
you a shout out from New Caney Texas! Just wanted
to mention keep up the fantastic job!

Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The text in your article seem to be running off the screen
in Safari. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do
with web browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let
you know. The layout look great though! Hope you get the issue solved soon.
Many thanks

Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and
Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!

First off I would like to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like
to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear
your thoughts before writing. I have had a difficult time clearing
my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted simply just trying to figure out how
to begin. Any ideas or hints? Thanks!

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this

I must say you’ve done a amazing job with this. Also, the blog loads very fast for
me on Internet explorer. Exceptional Blog!
