Fathers Day

Its Fathers day, and a great opportunity to recognize all those amazing Dads out there who go above and beyond in their efforts to support their families.

Number one on that list of Dads  is of course my amazing husband Al.

I am proud to say that as well as managing to put up with me for 15 years (we recently celebrated our 15th wedding Anniversary) my darling husband has turned out to be a pretty awesome Dad too, which is just as well because there are plenty of Dad duties around here to keep him on his toes.

Speaking of toes there are 30 on Dads card this year:

I couldn’t do a Fathers day post without mentioning someone else as well. For too many years Father’s Day has been a day to remember an amazing Man who passed away too soon.
I will always be left to wonder how my Dad would have reacted to having Triplet grandchildren, I can just imagine him trying to wrestle off two feisty grandsons while his granddaughter tries to drag him away to read books with her……but unfortunately that was not meant to be.

Instead I take great delight in watching my Husband wrestling with his boys and girl – oh yes, she likes to join in too – and then watching as he gathers everyone around to read them a book complete with silly voices for the characters and sound effects too.

Happy Fathers Day!
